Look Away

(I know this is a stupid story. But i don't have any better ideas at the moment. Sorry.)

"Omigod," Cheyenne said, bringing Robin out of her reverie.

"What?"

They all followed her wide-eyed expression to the front of the restaurant, where a group of guys had entered.

"That's the guy i was telling you about." Cheyenne breathed.

Her cheeks had gone pink.

"At the gym today?" Kayla said.

"What guy?" Robin asked. "Which one is he?"

"The one in the front," Cheyenne answered, still staring. "the one with the blonde hair."

"Holy crap," Robin said as the group of guys made their way toward the lower-level dining area. "He's hot!"

"I know." Cheyenne ranked her teeth over her bottom lip. "You should see him without a shirt."

Kayla rolled her eyes and picked her menu back up. "He's probably a moron."

Cheyenne shook her head. "He's not a moron. He's in a band."

Robin wasn't too impressed with musicians, but coupled with a smoldering scowl, strong cheekbone structure, and striking green eyes, Cheyenne's mystery man had Robin's attention.

Seems he had the attention of every other girl in Bershetti's, too. Well... except for Kayla's.

When he and his friends passed the table, Cheyenne's blonde gym buddy stopped and shot a smile at Cheyenne.

"Hey! How are you?"

Cheyenne's mouth hung slightly agape. She stared at the guy for several long seconds before Robin kicked her beneath the table.

"Good. Really good."

"Hi," Robin said, offering her hand. "I'm Robin. A friend of Cheyenne's."

"I'm Eric." He reached across the table to shake. "I met Cheyenne at the gym the other day." He looked over at her, smiling quietly as if the gym was their little secret, as if Cheyenne had done him a huge favor by working out with him.

Cheyenne blushed and looked away.

Kayla didn't blame her friend. She'd only witnessed that smile as a bystander and she wanted to melt.

"Well i better go before my friends start harassing me. It was nice meeting you all. Nice to see you, Cheyenne. I'll see you at the gym tomorrow. Same time?"

"Yeah, okay." She nodded as he walked away.

"Wow, he was super hot," Robin said. "I've never seen him before."

"I don't know. You don't really get out much."

Robin arched an eyebrow, clearly insulted by Cheyenne's comment.

"You should ask him out," Robin went on. She tugged on the necklace, hanging near her collarbone, that her mom had given her.

"What! No!" Cheyenne shook her head. "Did you see him, Robin?"

Robin sipped from a glass of water. "No one is out of your league, Chey. No one."

Cheyenne's mouth hitched up into a subtle smile. "Thanks." The expression fell and she shook her head again, her blonde hair sliding in front of her face, hiding her expression. "Even if he would go out with me, i don't know how to ask him out. Actually, i won't ask him out. If he likes me, he can do it."

  1. lol i am so confused by robin... is she supposed to be smart or sort of dumb?? she is always sweet and doesnt get involved with much of what is going on and she doesnt get dramatic. I dont know what to think of her yet...

  2. eric is so smooth infront of the ladies! if robin gets a crush on eric, i am going to cry... that would ruin everything for him and cheyenne! and robin IS to sweet to do that..

    1. i like it how it is!! with tom in it, i think it would be a little more about you and not about cheyenne. and there needs to be some posts focused on cheyenne because she is a big part of the story to! :)

  5. i always make robin super sweet, but sometimes a bit ditzy. she is smart and all, but she can have her dumb moments. Cheyenne will portray her differently. She is more Cheyenne's character than she is mine. We each make her a little bit different.
