"I don't know," Kayla said, leaning against her car door. "I think she loves you enough to make it work."
Eric hung his head, fidgeting with the zipper on his jacket. "I've really missed her. I could barely make it through a whole day without wanting to call her for something. I even made a list of excuses to use when she answered." He laughed, smiling to himself. "Anyway, i just wanted to thank you. For everything." He shuffled over and wrapped Kayla in a hug.
"Good luck," Kayla said, giving Eric a sisterly pat on the back.
"Thanks," He pulled away, shoving his hands in his pockets of his jeans. "I better get inside. She said be there by eight. I don't want to screw up already."
"Break a leg," she said. He grinned, heading off to the front of the restaurant.
Kayla grabbed her jacket from the backseat of her car, then, after slamming the door shut, hit the lock button on her car remote. She headed to the aisle of the parking lot, noticing a figure walking purposefully through the cars. "Hey, Robin!" Kayla raised her hand in a wave.
Except Robin didn't wave back, she just clenched her jaw, making her way toward Kayla.
Wow. She looked pissed, Kayla thought, and the words tumbling out of Robin's mouth next only clarified the observation.
"You...You...Argh! I can't believe you!"
♥♥♥
Ryan hurried through the growing crowd to the front door and tapped on Cheyenne's shoulder.
"What?" Cheyenne asked.
"I just heard someone say they saw Robin and Kayla arguing out in the parking lot."
Cheyenne looked up. "Really?"
"I think we should go out there."
"Let's go," Cheyenne said, pushing her way out the door.
♥♥♥
Cheyenne could tell Robin was pissed just by looking at her. Heat turned her cheeks bright red. Her hands were in constant motion and her nostrils flared.
"What's going on?" Cheyenne said as she and Ryan came between the argument.
Robin thrust an accusing finger at Kayla. "She's seeing Eric!"
"What do you mean 'seeing Eric'?" Cheyenne asked, keeping her voice calm and neutral.
"Going out with him! Dating him! Hello!"
"Calm down, Robin." Ryan rested a hand on Robin's shoulder. The touch seemed to bring her back to reality, and she pursed her lips.
"I'm not seeing Eric," Kayla said, her voice hitching. "I'm not hiding anything about my love life. Unlike someone i know."
Cheyenne frowned. "What do you mean?"
Kayla nodded at Cheyenne. "There's something between you and Jeff!" She blurted. "He told me."
Cheyenne turned to Kayla. "What are you doing talking to Jeff?"
Robin propped her hands on her hips. "You've been flirty with Jeff for God knows how long."
"You guys!" Ryan stepped in the middle. "You're arguing over men."
Everyone fell silent and looked at the pavement. The girls knew it was stupid but couldn't help but to continue.
"I wouldn't say it didn't work out at all," Cheyenne said. "I got over Eric for a little bit and Jeff was there to make me feel better."
Kayla looked up. "So you're over Eric?"
"I'm over my old relationship with Eric. We're ready to start over." She couldn't help but grin.
Robin lifted a brow. "He wants to get back together with you?"
Cheyenne nodded. "It sounds like he wants to talk..."
"He does," Kayla said. "That's what we were talking about just now. You. I was wishing him luck. We're just friends, Cheyenne."
LOL WHERE DO YOU COME UP WITH THESE IDEAS???
ReplyDeletesometimes i see things on tv and they give me an idea. other times i'll be laying down and during that time, my mind runs threw thousands of dialogue and scenes. my mind just puts them together and i decide on who i want to be in them! ya know? haha that awnser that question?
ReplyDeleteHey, you know I wouldn't see Jeff if Robin was interested.
ReplyDeletewell she hasnt told anyone shes interested yet!
Deleteyour such a great writer!!!!
ReplyDeleteI TOTALLY AGREE! IM SO JEALOUS!!!! XD
Deleteeric sounds so cute! he remindes me of peeta a little bit at times... ;)
ReplyDeleteAWWWW I LOVE PEETA!!!! he's definitly my favorite! but i like gale too cuz hes so... like, he's sort of hard to explain. he's so aggressive and wants to fight in the rebellion and i like that! but peeta's sweet and hes more into the politics. where as gale is sorta stupid cuz hes willing to fight and not think. but thats not bad either... HAHA IM STILL OBVIOUSLY CONFUSED BETWEEN THEM!! but i like peeta... im only about half way threw cathing fire when they find out that the old victors have to go into the hunger games and katniss is freaking out and goes to talk to haymich and he only says that if he is chosen or not, peeta will volunteer and there is nothing he can do. and katniss sorta gets on my nerves... she has NO CLUE what the hell she is doing and shes makes shit worse.. is it THAT hard to play along with the love story to keep yourself and your family alive? exspecially when peeta is hot?? CMON CATNIP!
DeleteLOL!! i love peeta too! and i know what you mean by gale and catnip. youll love the last book because its a lot of politics and you begin to find out all about president snow's plan and about districk 13, which i bet is ALREADY DRIVING YOU CRAZY!! it did me XD but a lot of people dont like the ending cuz its depressing.
Deleteshe needs to write a 4th!!! because the mom makes all these references to, "it's happening again." and haymich agrees and adds certain comments to the way things once were in the districs. and my sister told me of the song that was forbidden to sing. and when katniss was like, 5, she came home sining that song and the mom FLIPPED SHIT and slapped her across the face and like, beat her for singing that song. my sister says it gets pretty intense with all the freak mutants the capitol brings into the revolution. so i'm pretty excited! my sister just bough a hunger games shirt and im jealous! i need one.
Deletei already have one! :) and the mockingjay pin! they have tons at hot topic. and i know what you mean!!! that bugged me too! when i was reading the books, i had a teacher who read them and she didnt have me do an assignment because she wanted to leave me alone to read. XD it was awesome!
ReplyDeletethe same thing happened to me!!! she asked, "is anyone reading the hunger games?" and that was like, the second day i brought the book to school to get some reading time in. and i held it up and she smiled. i kept reading and she said, "everyone leave kayla alone, she's reading the hunger games." and she gave me my assignment early so i can get it done before everyone else so i could read at the end of the period. a few of my teachers have done that. even the guy gym coach! :D i'm really happy about most of the cast they chose for the movie. i really like katniss and peeta is pretty cute. haymich is good, but effie freaks me out. I LOVE HOW THEY MADE LENNY KRAVITZ CINNA!!!! I LOVE IT! its perfect!! i dont like gale tho... he isnt how i pictured him cuz hes suppost to be more scruffy. you know?
Deleteoh i know!! (about gale XD )
Deleteoh! what do you think about thresh and rue in the movie?
ReplyDeletei knew that rue was black, but i don't think thresh had much of a description... i thought of him as this HUGE muscular scary white guy! ya know? and even now that he's black, he could be even scarier and more intimadating in the games! but the black guy they chose looks so sweet and hes real cute. thresh is a good guy in the games and gives katniss a chance to live and all because of what she did for rue, but still! he should be as scary as he seems in the book. the compassion should be a total surprise! to me, the actor playing thresh just looks too innocent. he could surprise me tho, which i'm hoping he will! and rue is adorable!! and i didn't catch it until me and my sister were discussing the book, but it made me laugh that district 11 is an agriculture distric and they work in the fields gathering and such. and they're all black and they sing a working song at the end of the day. i mean, post apocolyptic america still has the southern black workers as it did so long ago. i didnt pay much attention to that. my sister told me of this photo somehwere on the net that someone made of where the districs are suppost to be in north america based on their stuff. like coal mining, agriculture, textiles and nuclear weapons and how the districs are described in the book.
DeleteOMG I KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!!! i didnt notice that either until i read the books for the third time!

^thats the link of the picture! :D
OHHHH!! see, i figured district 12 was in the north somewhere because it snows! and the whole agriculture thing, i figured 11 would be near the south. i didnt think about how land would be under water, either! that makes sense too because its so far in the future that land is bound to be taken under water and people say that cali is already starting to do that, so that totally makes sense. THANK YOU!!!
Deletehappy hunger games :)
LOL!! happy hunger games and may be the odds be with you! XD
DeleteOMG I LOVE PEETA TO!! you should write some fanfiction on him! XD
ReplyDeletereally erin??
Deletei dont think i can! peeta's character is so hard to capture! hes so special and i could never attempt to replicate him.
ReplyDeletedont mind erin. shes obsessed with peetra
DeleteITS PEETA! theres no R. shut up zach.
Deleteare you talking about the hunger games?? i have a friend thats obsessed with those books. havnt had the chance to read them yet.
ReplyDeletethe hunger games are the best trilogy ive ever read! a lot of people refuse to read them because they think its the next twilight and its equally stupid. not true!!! these books are amazing and dont focus on the love story. its there a little bit, but its mostly about life and death and the revolution against the capitol and the war! the love story is just a lot of the 1st book. and that helps to make the war and the ending more depressing. its all a big mystery and you cant put the book down once you pick it up!! i recremend it for everyone! its not like twilight at all and the movie is gonna be great!
Deletei didnt know much about the books when i started reading them. i was picking up and ACT test book from barnes and nobel with my sister. she stopped at the hunger games display and laughed at the cookbook. i stared at it like "what? a cook book?" and she laughed and told me, "well, it sort of makes sense." she asked me if id like to read them because she loved them and read the trilogy over christmas break. i said sure cuz im starting to read more latley and i needed another book. she bought the first one for me and the other 2 for my sister as her birthday present. but my sister hasnt read them so i claimed them and theyre now on my bookshelf. i didnt really notice people talking about them until after i started reading them. its such a great book and i love the politics of it. its totally different from anything ive ever read before and the love story isnt a big deal like everyone assumes. its there, but its not all dramatic and stupid like twilight. theres all these turns left and right and it keeps you reading. probably one of my favorite books. cant wait to see the movie!
Deletegod... im going to have to see the movie with my girlfriend AND my sisters..
Deletemy friend said i could borrow her books next week because they are all checked out at the library. ive heard my teachers talking about them during passing period and my friend talks about it ALL the time! so i practially know everything that is going to happen and im seeing the movie with her when it comes out.
ReplyDeletei think im going to get a group of girls together so we can see it. a lot of my friends havent read it or refuse to because they think its twilight. but i wanna get at least 2 of my friends and my sister to come with me. if they seee the movie, im hoping theyll want to read the books and then ill have someone to talk the hunger games to.
Deletegod thats so fucking stupid. i hate when girls refuse to read it because they think that since its a big deal, that its going to be like twilight. no. they actually did something right this time and picked a really good book to make into a movie. it gets on my nerves when girls do that. READ THE BOOK! dont judge a book. the author put so much work into this book in creating the politics and laws and goverment behind Panem. the war, revolution, the games, the mutants, the run aways fleeing their districs to find the once destroyed district 13 hoping to find an underground community to help in the revolution. its amazing and it deserves much more than people are giving it. i think it could be one of those high school required books in the next few decades. its much more entertaining than animal farm. i mean, the book is about post apocolyptic america! if shit went down, this is how it would happen. the nuclear weapons, the medical advances in the future and EVERYTHING! i cant say it enough that this book is amazing. stephen king loved it!! that has to tell you its a great book!
Deletewhen i first got the book and read the back, i saw what stephen king put and i knew right then that it would be worth reading!
Deleteand i totally know what you mean. i feel the same way. CHEYENNE WONT GIVE IT A CHANCE.
I like to stick to my William Burroughs. I don't like entertainment about post-apocalyptic worlds or politics...
