{Third Person}
On Sunday, all three girls converged at Kayla's house. It was snowing again, light, sparse flakes, but the wind was blowing harshly and no one felt like doing anything other than relaxing.
The teakettle on the stove whistled as Kayla set out two mugs, one for Cheyenne and the other for Robin. Although Kayla hated the taste of tea, she has always agreed to make it for her friends.
"I got it." Robin said.
Cheyenne hobbled over to the kitchen table. Her ankle felt much better today. It wasn't swollen or bruised, just a bit sore. She could have gotten the tea herself, but there was no use arguing with Robin.
Robin poured the hot water into the waiting mugs. "What kind do you want?" she asked over a shoulder.
"Green tea for me." Cheyenne said.
"What kind did i have last time?" Robin frowned, raking her bottom lip with her teeth. "Was it Orange-something?"
"Wild sweet orange." Kayla supplemented. "Check the cabinet by the fridge."
Robin went to the cabinet and found the wild sweet orange. With the bags in the mugs, she carried the cups over to the table.
"Anything else, Cheyenne?"
"Nah." Cheyenne twirled the saltshaker between her hands. "I'll just get some chips later if i get hungry."
"Is everything okay?" Robin asked, dipping her tea bag in and out of the hot water.
Cheyenne shoved the saltshaker aside. "Every thing's fine." She looked up then and smiled.
Kayla would bet that everything was not okay. "Cheyenne, spit it out." She commanded.
"It's not a big deal." Cheyenne reached for her cup of tea. Robin quickly pulled the mug away from Cheyenne before she could grab the handle.
"No tea for you- until you tell us your problem."
Cheyenne rolled her eyes as she said "I might have almost kissed Nikki the other night."
Kayla's jaw dropped, expecting this behavior from anyone but Cheyenne. "You did what?"
"No, no. i didn't kiss him! i just thought about it.."
Tom had just finished taking his daily shower. As he approached the entrance to the kitchen, he stopped to listen into the girls conversation.
"Still, Cheyenne. That's wrong!" Kayla said.
Cheyenne grabbed the mug from Robin's hands. She took a sip of Green tea as Robin said
"Have you told Eric?"
"No! Idiot! She isn't gonna tell Eric!" Kayla answered for her friend.
Tom gripped his hands on the towel around his waist, leaning closer towards the entrance of the kitchen.
"Look, i don't wanna risk anything. i don't know how Eric will take it. Plus, it's not like i actually kissed him."
