Saturday Night Fever

{Eric Brittingham}

Tonight seemed to be the ideal moment to recite my adoration to Cheyenne. Although we have only been in each others company for a month, i feel like Cheyenne and i are soul mates. We share common thoughts and goals in our lives, and that's important in a relationship. Or, so I've been told by my father. I feel it in the pit of my gut. it's a feeling that sends a tingle up my spine then down through my legs.

Tom and i were talking to each other outside while we loaded the back of my truck with hay.

"Do you really think the girls will like this?" Tom asked me, clearly doubtful of our evening plans.

"I hope so." What woman wouldn't enjoy a romantic hay ride around a credible neighborhood to view Christmas lights? The atmosphere tonight was perfect for cuddling. The icy wind whipping against your rosy cheeks felt like a firm slap across your face.

Cheyenne appeared behind me.

"Are we leaving soon?" She asked, diving her hands into the front pockets of her coat to shield them from the cold.

"Yeah, almost." I replied with a wink of my eye. She didn't seem to notice because she cast her gaze down to her leather boots.

"Come on, Babe." i cocked my head, gesturing towards the truck.

Cheyenne stepped forward, grabbing ahold of the side of the truck and lifting her foot on the tire. i put my hand on her butt and gently pushed her up, enough for her to get her leg over the side.

I held Cheyenne; my arm around her lower back and my hand resting on her hip. Her head was against my chest, and her hand laying on my thigh. Cheyenne's hair smelt like peaches and apricots. It was a relaxing, soothing scent. One that I'd remember- the scent of my lover.

I closed my eyes; taking in the moment. i was holding the girl of my dreams in my arms. She looked up at me; her eyes glistening in the half-darkness of the night. Her lips were parted slightly, as if she was about to speak. I took the opportunity to kiss her. I placed my hand upon her cheek as i layed her down on the hay. i ignored the presence of Tom and Kayla as i continued to passionately kiss Cheyenne.

I brought my lips to her ear, breathing upon her neck, i whispered in her ear,

"I love you." As i bit her lobe. i felt her hand gently coast up my back.

"I love you too." She whispered before kissing my lips.
